#Caturday journaling tips from two Bengal bros:
đMake your space as cozy and comfortable as possible
đStart your day by writing 3 pages of freehand writing- this counts as a form of active meditation and helps get out all the fluff before you start your day
đEnd your day by writing down 10 people/things/cats you feel grateful for
đUse a pen you love- Allison has been on a Sharpie S Gel pen kick and obviously Sakura Gelly Roll is an all time favorite
đBonus points if you sit on the journal / make it difficult for your human to write

Believe it or not, I used to get massive anxiety going into the weekends; especially weekends where I didnât have a lot of prearranged social activities.
It was like Friday night hit, and I had no plans and no idea how I wanted to spend the next 48 hours. This usually led to a lot of sleeping, watching Netflix and doing, well, nothing.
To combat this, I started writing out a list I call âThis Weekend I WillâŚâ
Grab a blank piece of paper and make your own with me! đ
Step 1ď¸âŁ: Set up your space; light a candle, make some tea. Make it an experience!
Step 2ď¸âŁ: On your paper, write one word to describe what you are looking to gain from this upcoming weekend. You can choose anything you want; sleep, connection, organizationâŚ. Rejuvenation đ
If youâre having trouble answering this right away, try asking yourself: âwhat do I want to feel at the conclusion of this weekend?â Close your eyes and think about it for a little bit. Really sink into what you want the next 48 hours to look like.
Step 3ď¸âŁ: Onc...
Our eyes are often bigger than our stomachs. Take Thanksgiving, for example. The combinations of aromas draws us in, turkey, stuffing, crescent rolls, ham, green beans, macaroni and cheese, cupcakes... all ours for the taking. By the time we grab a plate, we are either starving, grabbing anything that looks good, or we are already at our 2nd house of the day, and even if we aren't hungry, we load up a plate anyway. The end result in each scenario is wasted food and an overly full stomach; enter turkey induced coma.Â
Our eyes are also bigger than our stomachs when it comes to planning. We want it all; we want to wake up at 4:30am every morning to meditate, write in our gratitude journal, workout, shower, listen to a podcast, call mom, be more productive at work... the list goes on, and we haven't even made it past noon! It's way easier to think of all the things you "should do" or "want to do" than it is to actually complete them, which is why it can be so tempting to write out never e...
Anxiety is fear based on the future and planning is the process of mapping out future events. What happens when you have a fear of everything that you have to do? A Plan-ic attack.
My greatest challenge in life is to keep my anxiety in check. I donât necessarily fear anything specifically, but that actually causes even more anxiety; feeling so uncomfortable without a logical excuse or explanation is so incredibly difficult. I bring this up because believe me, I get it.
Decorating my planner is a sort of cathartic release for me. Planning out my days ahead of time, not so much. By identifying my own personal shortcomings with planning, I can help you address these same issues and help you build more structure into your day, sans stress.
Donât Overcommit
We all know what happens when you overpromise and underdeliver; you get an unhappy customer. Be careful with what you say youâre going to do, especially when it comes to timeframes and deadlines. Always error on the side of somethin...
